The Coast Food and Drink Guide 2006
"This wifi'ed Dalhousie hang-out should be considered for an honourary campus designation.
Fair Trade coffees, sandwiches and soups sustain while you either put the final touches
on that nagging Nietzsche term paper, or relax and than the academic stars that you're finally finished."

"My problem with the big coffee store chains is they're overpriced and have none of the
hometown charm that hateful Torontonians leave their hometown to find. So, although I'd choose Second Cup in a heartbeat if I were forced to declare supremacy of a nationwide chain, I maintain that Halifax's Coburg Coffee House trumps all."

"The free wireless Internet and relaxed atmosphere makes the Coburg popular
among Dalhousie University students and professors."

The Coast Food and Drink Guide 2005
"September through April, Coburg Coffee House serves as an essential part of
the study plans for the Dalhousie University student body. All year round, the
cafe is a great place to enjoy that first cup of the day, or stop for lunch (either eat-
in or take-out), or break out the laptop and get down to work."

Java talkin'
When is a house not a house? When it's the newly christened Coburg Coffee,
formerly the Coburg Coffee House. According to owner, Nancy MacDonald, "we
kind of thought that the house part was self-explanatory." The new moniker is the
latest change in an ongoing series of renovations. Regulars will have already
noticed a revamped interior, and MacDonald says some additional seating is on
the way. "There will be some changes to the menu as well in January and
February. We're not really sure what those are yet, but we hope to expand the
options for lunch and offer more choices in the evening. There might be some
new desserts on the way too." As for you caffeine addicts, you haven't been
forgotten. A new espresso machine is on it's way, which means even faster drink
service. Just hook it to my veins."
